Midweek Kings Creek Club Run
On Wednesday the 21st August 2019, 24 members and friends joined in on the midweek run to the Kings Creek Hotel via the Mornington Peninsula.
We met at the old Masters Home Improvement Centre carpark on the corner of Cheltenham Road and Springvale Road in Keysborough. Weather was fine but a bit cool. It was a pleasant drive along the Frankston freeway then onto the Mornington-Tyabb road to the Tyabb Packinghouse Antiques in Tyabb. Unfortunately when we arrived at the Tyabb Packinghouse Antique centre it was closed. Only open Thursday to Sunday.
Damm – What do we do now!
After a brief discussion it was suggested that you could have a look around the antique shops in Tyabb or go onto Hastings and have a look around the Marina or just have a coffee at the local Hungry Peacock Café.
After this brief side-track we all ended up at the Kings Creek Hotel in Hastings for lunch. We were met by a very friendly staff member Mary, who welcomed us all and explained the menu and format.
There were 24 members and friends seated for lunch in a nice warm bistro area. We had members from CHACA, Buick and the Oldsmobile Clubs in attendance and everyone enjoyed the inter club relationship and getting to know new people. Lots of discussion from cars to grandchildren.
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Classic & Historic Automobile Club of Australia to thank all those members and friends for participating in the outing and thus a great day.
